Our Story.
Hello! We’re Tory, Jeff, and two little ones. We're a family based in Basel, Switzerland. We love food, walking, and finding the human version of every city we visit. Small Steps Explorers started because we couldn't find family travel resources that treated parents as travellers — so we made our own.
Our kits are researched, walked and tested by us, and we’re so happy to share them with you! See our kits here.

Three hours ashore and a child with a mission. The real Corfu — soap, cheese, spices and a playground by the sea.
Clue → "A Giant Circle of Cheese"
A soap factory that's been on the same street for over 200 years
A playground right at the edge of the sea
The route takes you through Corfu Old Town, past the Liston arcades, and into the narrow streets of the Campiello quarter. Your child leads. You still see everything.
England · City break edition
London is too big for one hunt, so we made three — each a different neighborhood, each a completely different afternoon.
South Bank Hunt — Borough Market to the London Eye along the South Bank of the Thames: street food, the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and the river the whole way.
Dragon Hunt — St Paul's to Tower Bridge through the Square Mile: medieval dragon marker, hidden churchyards, Leadenhall Market, and the Tower of London.
Magical London — Leicester Square to Covent Garden through Seven Dials: a cozy street of bookshops, a Victorian market, and seven streets meeting at one sundial.
London Bundle — All three hunts, three neighborhoods, one order with free shipping!
Your child leads. You still see everything.
Switzerland · City break edition

A cathedral portal with a knight fighting a dragon
Cross the Rhine on a boat powered only by the current — ring the bell to call it
The route takes you through the Marktplatz, Basel Münster, the Pfalz terrace overlooking the Rhine, and across to Kleinbasel on the oldest cable ferry in Switzerland. Your child leads. You still see everything.
